The Dining Services Intern will help support Jacob's Pillow's four food venues by managing set-up, execution, and break-down of all events; determining and scheduling necessary staffing support for events; monitoring vendor relations; ensuring timely delivery and removal of all equipment, supplies, and food for events; facilitating excellent communication between departments as needed; maintaining a central events calendar with all pertinent details for departmental reference; working closely with the Dining Services Assistant Manager, Dining Services Manager, and Business office staff to uphold accurate billing for external events; maintaining a clean and orderly event supplies storage area; and other tasks as assigned.
Public dining venues at Jacob's Pillow include The Pillow Café, a full-service restaurant and bar; The Pillow Pub, casual-fare dining and bar; and concessions stand. Additionally, the Pillow provides three meals daily for its 200+ residents and staff through a full-service cafeteria.
Successful candidates will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and have experience in restaurant and catering operations (both front and back of house); excellent customer service and interpersonal skills; strong written and verbal communication; proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook; experience in basic accounting principles; and a positive attitude.

Summer (Festival) internships are part of a structured program for more than 30 interns from around the world, each working within one of seven administration and production departments at the Pillow.
