DYNAMIC DANCE ENSEMBLE TO PRESENT
TWO CONTEMPORARY WORKS
August 8, 2012 - Dance Heginbotham, the contemporary dance ensemble founded by choreographer and former longtime member of the Mark Morris Dance Group (MMDG) John Heginbotham, will perform August 8-12 in the Doris Duke Theatre at Jacob's Pillow. Known for their lively, imaginative, and often humorous work, the company will perform two fresh dances from 2011 and 2012. Described as having "a true choreographic imagination and the technical skills to go along with it" (Wendy Lesser, ARTicles) and being "a wonder at the tricky combination of class clown/poet" (Janine Parker, Boston Phoenix), John Heginbotham showcases his highly structured, technically rigorous, and theatrical choreography with his ensemble of six dancers in this program.
