Jacob's Pillow Dance

July 25, 2012 - (Becket, MA) The imaginative and sought-after choreographer Jessica Lang will debut her eponymous company, Jessica Lang Dance, July 25-29 in the Doris Duke Theatre at Jacob's Pillow. Former member of Twyla Tharp's company THARP!, Lang is known for her artfully crafted, emotionally engaging dances, transforming the rigor of classical ballet into powerful and engaging contemporary works. Marking her ensemble's first weeklong, full company engagement, this will be a rare opportunity to see a variety of contemporary ballets by this "prolific young choreographer" (Julinda Lewis, Richmond Times Dispatch) in the intimate Doris Duke Theatre.
