March 16, 2012 (Becket, Mass.) - This summer, The School at Jacob's Pillow, a world renowned center for professional dance training will present four Professional Advancement Programs in Ballet, Tap, Contemporary, and Jazz/Musical Theatre Dance. These programs will take place during the 80th Anniversary Jacob's Pillow Dance Festival and offer an incomparable mix of studio, performance, and Festival experiences. At The School at Jacob's Pillow, pre-professional students and early-career professional dancers from around the globe are immersed in an intense professional training environment involving classes, rehearsals, and coaching sessions six days a week; and opportunities to perform weekly for Festival audiences. The 2012 Program Directors include internationally celebrated ballet luminary Anna-Marie Holmes; legendary tap artist Dianne Walker; Ailey School and Juilliard faculty member and contemporary dance mentor Milton Myers; and Broadway veteran, choreographer, and director Chet Walker; along with other acclaimed artists, choreographers, and artistic directors on faculty.
