The Fundraising/Institutional Intern works closely with Development staff to successfully seek and report on funding from foundations, corporations, and government agencies that support the arts. The intern works with all departments to address the programmatic goals of the organization, including artistic, educational, community, and audience engagement activities. Office responsibilities include prospect research, report writing, proposal editing, budget preparation, acknowledging gifts, coordinating funder visits, constituent management using Patron Manager database software, and participating in department strategy and planning meetings. Outside the office, the intern coordinates Audience Tracking at free events, helps host Inside/Out, assists with special events and member recruitment, and attends and reports on free talks, master classes, and other ongoing parts of the Festival.

Candidates must possess an interest in arts advocacy, and strong skills in writing, analysis, interpersonal communication, and managing details and multiple projects with firm deadlines. Candidates should be team-oriented and discreet in relation to VIPs and confidential information. Word, Excel and computer research skills required.
