If you think in short copy form and love to get the right information to the right people at the right time in the right way, then the marketing internship is for you. You are excited to figure out how best to position a dance artist or company to maximize exposure and fill theatres to capacity with enthusiastic audience members.
You are highly detail-oriented and excel at proofreading and editing. You are able to work effectively in a group of your peers and with multiple supervisors, can clearly articulate your thoughts and questions, and are naturally inclined to step up and help out on short notice. New software and technology is a cinch for you to learn and you're always thinking of new and more efficient ways to produce work. You understand how to use Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and Flickr, and may have some experience with Adobe software (specifically Photoshop and Lightroom). You are available for the full length of the summer internship and will arrive excited and ready to tackle the job.

1. Pick any Festival 2013 artist and write a 100 word article about that artist for the Jacob's Pillow eclub. Keep in mind tone, voice, and target. - E-newsletter drafting, layout, and review routing
- Target market research and outreach
- Post content and interact with the Pillow's onlinecommunity
- Organize and manage the Pillow's photo database in conjunction with the Photojournalism Intern and Festival Photographer
- Manage on-campus signage and bulletin boards daily
- Represent the Pillow at community events
- Give excellent customer service in the Box Office (all Marketing Department Interns are required to work at least 10 hours/week in the Box Office)
