Hailed as "a master of visual composition" by Dance Magazine, since 1999, choreographer Jessica Lang has created more than 80 works on prestigious ballet companies across the U.S. and abroad, including The National Ballet of Japan at the New National Theatre Tokyo, Birmingham Royal Ballet, The Joffrey Ballet, and many others. In 2011, Lang launched her own company, Jessica Lang Dance, which performed at Jacob's Pillow Dance Festival for two consecutive seasons and continues to thrill audiences at major venues throughout the country. Lang received outstanding acclaim for her choreography and directorial debut of Pergolesi's Stabat Mater at the Glimmerglass Opera Festival 2013. Her work is performed by some of the country's foremost educational institutions and she is a faculty member of American Ballet Theatre's Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis School and outreach programs. A graduate of The Juilliard School under Benjamin Harkarvy, Lang is a former member of Twyla Tharp's company, THARP!
