techniques at Scapino Academy in Amsterdam. Following her training, she danced with Scapino Ballet, Ballet du Grand Théâtre de Genève, and Rambert Dance Company; working with choreographers such as Jirí Kylián, Mats Ek, Ohad Naharin, and Christopher Bruce. She began choreographing in 1987, creating work for the repertoires of all three companies. A recipient of several prestigious choreographic awards, she has created and re-staged works for Cedar Lake, Cullberg Ballet, Les Grands Ballets Canadiens, Ballet du Grand Théâtre de Genève, Göteburg Ballet, the Komische Oper Berlin, Rambert Dance Company, and Scapino Ballet. A French/German television channel documented the creation of her work, i remember red, for Cullberg Ballet. Her future projects include: new creations for Ballet Bern, Northwest Dance Project, and a full evening work for Les Grands Ballets Canadiens de Montréal, her fifth invitation to create for the company.
