Ami Shulman is a performer, educator and rehearsal director based in
Montréal. Shulman trained in South Africa in the performing arts and danced with Vuyani Dance Theatre and the State Theatre Opera before being awarded the Amanda Holmes Prize, which took her to Europe to further her training. Shulman's passion for movement research has brought her to teach at The Juilliard School, Rotterdam Dance Academy, National Theatre School of Canada, Brown University, University of California San Diego, Concordia University, Compagnie Marie Chouinard, the Springboard Project and diverse master classes in Canada and abroad. Shulman has danced for José Navas and Marie Chouinard for several years and currently works as a rehearsal director for both companies.
