past twenty years and has performed in each of the company's shows. In 2004, she was honored as Best Female Dancer by SESC/SATED for her role in De Carne e Sonho. Her work with Mimulus as a dancer and teacher has taken her to diverse venues across Brazil and abroad, such as the Biennale de la Danse in France, the Madrid en Danza in Spain, and to Tango World Summits in Argentina, Spain, and Chile. Macedo has trained with ballroom dance teachers from Brazil, Argentina, England, Spain, and France and is also educated in classical ballet, contemporary dance, and theater. In addition to her dance career, she practices yoga, Pilates, conscientization of movement, tai chi, capoeira, and acrobatics, and has a degree in architecture from the Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais.
