Bass trombonist Leonardo Brasilino began playing at age eleven in the bands 
of Santa Luzia, Minas Gerais. He furthered his training at the Centro de Formação Artística-Palácio das Artes and the Escola de Música da Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais, and is a member of the Associação Brasileira de Trombonistas. Brasilino has toured Germany, Austria, and Switzerland, and played for opera, symphony orchestras, big bands, chamber groups, and popular artists such as Milton Nascimento, Gilberto Gil, Eduardo Dussek, and Marku Ribas. His awards include "Best Accompanying Instrumentalist" at the Banco de Desenvolvimento de Minas Gerais (BDMG) Instrumental Awards, the Revelation Musician Award from Troféu Pró-Música, and the Young Soloist Award from the Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais. Brasilino's current engagements include playing with the chorale of trombones and tubas at his alma mater, and working as a guest trombonist with the Orquestra Sinfônica de Minas Gerais.
