Jacob's Pillow Dance

da Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais and has played professionally for more than fifteen years. He is an expert in Brazilian music, particularly samba. Some of his professional credits include performing with Grupo Candonguero, Orquestra Experimental de Ouro Preto, and in the 2008 World Festival of Circus Movement in Brazil. Grieco shared the stage with celebrated Brazilian musicians Elza Soares and Paulo Moura as a drummer in Senta a Pua!, a samba de gafieira ensemble. He also teaches percussion to a wide variety of students, from children to college students to soldiers. You can hear Grieco playing on the CD Villa-Lobos e os Brinquedos de Roda, recorded with the Grupo de Percussão da Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais.
