Israeli born Igal Perry is Founder and Artistic Director of Peridance Center in 
New York City. Perry began his dance career with Bat-Dor Dance Company of Israel. He spent a year in Holland studying with Richard Gibson at Netherlands Dance Theatre and working as ballet master with Rotterdams Danscentrum. In 1976, he worked with Dennis Wayne's Dancers as ballet master and choreographer and, as John Butler's assistant, set his ballets across the United States and Europe. Perry co-directed the Clive Thompson Dance Company in 1982. In 1983 he founded the Peridance Center and established Peridance Ensemble. Perry's international engagements as teacher and choreographer have included Batsheva and Bat-Dor dance companies in Israel, The Juilliard School, and numerous international and North American companies. In May 2007, Perry was inducted into the Dance Library of Israel Hall of Fame. Perry taught ballet and choreographed works for students at The School at Jacob's Pillow in 1981 and 1982.
