Formerly of Alonzo King's LINES Ballet and the Dutch National Ballet, Drew Jacoby and Rubinald Pronk have been bringing their out-of-this-world technique and intense chemistry to leading contemporary companies, including Complexions Contemporary Ballet and Morphoses. Jacoby and Pronk's "knife-edged limbs, razor-sharp technique, and sensual chemistry" have catapulted them into the spotlight as a duo to watch (Dance Magazine). Accompanied by fellow international dance stars, Victor Mateos Arellano of Dresden SemperOper Ballett, Shirley Esseboom of Nederlands Dans Theatre, and American Ballet Theatre Principal David Hallberg, they perform a Jacob's Pillow exclusive program.
This intimate evening includes Both, a world premiere by Lauri Stallings, performed by Jacoby and Hallberg; Christopher Wheeldon's Rhapsody Fantasie; Déjà vu, with music by Arvo Pärt; Annabelle Lopez Ochoa's acclaimed work, One, now transformed into a quartet; and a world premiere trio by Leo Mujic, set to music by Bach.
