Each year Jacob's Pillow Dance Festival kicks off with a bang at our Season Opening Gala. Please join us for a memory-making evening of dance and revelry to support the Pillow's students, artists, and audiences.
The Gala is much more than a night at the theater.
Wendy Whelan of the New York City Ballet and Virginia Johnson of Dance Theatre of Harlem will serve as Honorary Co-Chairs for this exciting event. Executive and Artistic Director Ella Baff is curating a once-in-a lifetime program of performances featuring New York City Ballet star Wendy Whelan in the quintessential Graham duet Moon, with Lloyd Knight of the Martha Graham Dance Company. Also performing are Dance Theatre of Harlem in the Black Swan pas de deux from Swan Lake; Tap Dancer and Choreographer Michelle Dorrance, with special guest Aaron Marcellus; and the dancers of the Ballet Program of The School at Jacob's Pillow in a world premiere created by Helen Pickett.

Bidding for the Silent Auction is open now. Auction items include archival prints from the Pillow's rare collection, a lavish opportunity for dance and wellness at Canyon Ranch, a portrait session with acclaimed dance-photographer Rose Eichenbaum, and other unique experiences custom-tailored to dance aficionados. The Gala's Live Auction includes a luxury trip to Paris and a spirited call to support the programs at Jacob's Pillow. You must be present at the Gala to bid on Live Auction items, so please don't wait to secure your seat.
All proceeds benefit the non-profit programs of Jacob's Pillow Dance, a National Historic Landmark and National Medal of Arts recipient.You can take part in supporting this special place for dance by purchasing a table or ticket.
