Brian Brooks creates a feast for the mind and senses though larger-than-life stage design, bold costuming, and full-out movement. His company performs BIG CITY, a dance full of engaging, rigorous choreography that explores the impact of deconstruction and rebuilding, amplified by a dynamic stage installation created from hundreds of aluminum pipes. The program also includes the arresting solo I'm Going to Explode and excerpts from the swooping, twisting work MOTOR, which The Chicago Tribune calls "a complex, transcendent ode to simplicity."
Brian Brooks also performs in Restless Creature with New York City Ballet star Wendy Whelan, August 14-18 in the Ted Shawn Theatre.
