Presenting Dance

An enlightening publication about the joys and challenges of presenting dance performances has been co-produced by the Pillow and the prominent national service organizations Dance/USA and the Association of Performing Arts Presenters. Key individuals in this venture come together to discuss the book and its conclusions.

Gallim Dance

Prior to founding Gallim Dance, artistic director Andrea Miller danced with master choreographer Ohad Naharin's Batsheva, in Tel Aviv. Now Miller presents her own explosive movement vocabulary, which hangs somewhere between elegance and insanity, in this smart, powerful program.

The School at Jacob's Pillow: Jazz/Musical Theatre Dance

This lively showing culminates three weeks of rigorous dance and vocal study for the Jazz/Musical Theatre Dance participants, under the direction of Broadway veterans Chet Walker, Mercedes Ellington and other guest faculty.

The Dancer Within

Photographer Rose Eichenbaum has subtitled her new book "Intimate Conversations with Great Dancers," and some of those subjects will be on hand to continue the conversations in person and participate in a book-signing. Forty prominent dance figures are both pictured and profiled with striking candor.
