What to do on your visit

Jacob’s Pillow is an extraordinary place to see dance—unparalleled in the intimacy of experience, the deep sense of history and innovation, and the wealth of activities every day. Visitors are especially fond of staying for the entire day.

Show up around noon to enjoy a picnic lunch on the Great Lawn. Then explore the grounds of this National Historic Landmark—stroll the gardens, walk the Wetlands Trail, observe dancers or students in rehearsal, or soak up the idyllic atmosphere pretty much anywhere on campus.

To get an idea of Jacob's Pillow, visit the Photo Gallery, take a photo tour, or see the center of campus in a panoramic view.

During the Festival, guided tours of the campus meet in the Welcome Center Saturdays at 5:30pm.

From noon until the final curtain, explore the Archives, with rare holdings encompassing 90 years of dance, video stations, a library, and exhibits.

At 6:30pm, attend free outdoor performances at Inside/Out.

Learn more about dance from artists and Pillow Scholars-in-Residence in our series of PillowTalks, as well as Pre-Show Talks before every single show, and Post-Show Talks.

Enjoy dinner and drinks at the Pillow Café or Pub, or have a snack at the Tea Garden, Coffee Bar or Ice Cream Bar.

You can even take a class! Morning Jumpstart Classes are held Monday through Thursday, 8-9am. Take a Master Class from artists performing at the Pillow, Sundays 10:30am-12pm. Children's Intergenerational Classes are offered as a partnership between Jacob's Pillow and the Becket Arts Center. All classes are held during the summer festival.

See world-class dance performances as part of the 10-week Festival.

After the show, pick up a gift or souvenir of dance memorabilia, books, videos, and unique Pillow items at the Pillow Store.

Don't forget the Special Events, held at the Pillow during the summer season, and at other locations throughout the year.
