The Men Dancers built this rustic structure in 1935 as a surprise for Ted
Shawn while he was teaching out-of-town. When his returning car reached the top of the drive, generator-rigged floodlights illuminated the finished building to Shawn's great delight.
Every summer artists, students, interns and staff dine together here. Public dining includes the Pillow Café, the Pillow Pub and catering for weddings and rentals in the Event Tent, as well as picnicking on the grounds at any time.
