Caleb Teicher (pictured above), Tap and Jazz/Musical Theatre Dance 2010, won a 2011 Bessie for Outstanding Individual Performance and was guest alumnus performer for the 2011 A Jazz Happening, a benefit for The School at Jacob's Pillow.

Other Bessies were awarded to former faculty members Trisha Brown, Frederic Franklin, and Ishmael Houston-Jones, and past festival artists including Savion Glover, Rashaun Mitchell, Wendy Whelan, Violeta Galagarza, and Michelle Dorrance.

Jeffrey Page, Cultural Traditions 1998, creator/director of Movin' Legacy, won the 2011 Best Choreographer at the MTV Video Music Awards for his choreography for Beyoncé's music video Run the World (Girls).

Paula Aarons, Choreographers Lab 2010, is an Artist Educator for the 2011-12 Jacob's Pillow Curriculum in Motion® program, assisted by one of her ReGroup Dance company members, Sophie Schapiro.

Emanuel Abruzzo, Jazz 2002 & 2005, Contemporary 2005, was on the faculty of the Pillow's Jazz/Musical Theatre Dance Program faculty during Festival 2011 teaching ballet and assisting Program Director Chet Walker.

Lannette Álvarez, Contemporary 2008, is a company trainee with Ballet Hispanico, a Teaching Artist for Ballet Hispanico's Education and Outreach, a dancer with Germaul Barnes/Viewsic Expressions, and was recently accepted as a LEGROS Women in Dance choreographer.

Cristian Emanuel Amuchastegui, Ballet 2007, a corps de ballet member of the Hamburg Ballet (John Neumeier, Artistic Director), won the prestigious Prix de Lausanne Competition in 2010.

Christopher Bloom, Ballet and Contemporary 2010, is an apprentice with Parsons Dance and presenting his own choreography in NYC.

Jonah Bokaer, Visions of Jazz Workshop 1998, founder of Chez Bushwick, was a 2011 Festival artist, presenting Recess and the U.S. premiere of Why Patterns in the Pillow's Doris Duke Theatre.

Nigel Campbell, Contemporary 2004, dances with Luna Negra Dance Theater and received a 2011 Princess Grace Dance Honorarium during summer 2011.

Paige Fraser, Ryan Houston, and Thomas Varvaro, Contemporary 2010, are apprentices with Ailey II (Sylvia Waters, Artistic Director).

Jacqueline Green, Contemporary 2009, joins Megan Jakel, Contemporary 2005, as company members of Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre (Robert Battle, Artistic Director).

John Heginbotham, 1991, presented his choreographic work Closing Bell on the Pillow's 2011 Inside/Out series, with a cast of four dancers; including alumni John Eirich, Contemporary 2005, and Evan Teitelbaum, Contemporary 2005.

Silas Henriksen, Ballet 2006, dances with Netherlands Dans Theater.

Emery LeCrone, Ballet 2003, and Avi Scher, Ballet 2005, each presented new choreographic works as part of the Guggenheim's Works & Process October 2011 series.

Catherine Rutherford, Ballet 2010 and 2009, is dancing as an apprentice for Royal Winnipeg Ballet's 2011-2012 season.

Matthew Olwell, Tap 2010, danced with the musical group Classical Tangent at Tanglewood in August 2011.

Lorenzo Pagano, Contemporary 2011, joined Graham II as a company member during fall 2011.

Bridget Riley, Jazz/Musical Theatre Dance 2007, was the assistant choreographer in staging the Seussical tour and is currently in an off-Broadway musical.

Eric Rivas, Tap and Jazz/Musical Theatre Dance 2010, is performing in 42nd Street at the Resorts Atlantic City.

Philippe Solano, Ballet 2010, dances with the State Ballet of Georgia (Nina Ananiashvili, Artistic Director).

Jason Sparks, Jazz/Musical Theatre Dance 2009, played Ambrose in Hello, Dolly! with Cybil Shepherdin 2011.

Adam Weinert, Contemporary 2003, was a 2011 Festival performer appearing with Jonah Bokaer and led an inspirational Sunday Master Class at the Pillow.

XiaoChuan Xie, Contemporary 2011 , resumed dancing with the Martha Graham Dance Company after attending the Pillow.
