Faculty from The School's Jazz/Musical Theatre Dance Program with choreography in current productions on Broadway include Chet Walker (Jazz/Musical Theatre Dance Program Director) with Pippin, now in previews and opening April 25 and Patti Wilcox (Jazz/Musical Theatre Dance former faculty member 2011, 2005, and 2004) with Motown: The Musical, now in previews and opening April 14. This season Pillow dancers will work with Chase Brock, one of the choreographers for the record-breaking smash hit Spider-Man Turn Off The Dark.

Alumni currently performing on Broadway: Andrew Fitch, Jazz/Musical Theatre Dance 1999, is performing in Pippin alongside former Jazz/Musical Theatre Program faculty member Brad Musgrove.

Dana Marie Ingraham, Contemporary 2001, performs in Spider-Man Turn Off The Dark in addition to having appeared in an episode of NBC's "Smash" in April 2012.

Matt Anctil, Jazz/Musical Theatre Dance 2007, is performing in the National Tour of La Cage Aux Folles.

, 2012 Ballet Program, is performing with the Royal New Zealand Ballet, recently danced in the corps de ballet of Ethan Stiefel's new Giselle.

, Contemporary 2009 & 2010, has joined Tania Pérez-Salas Compañía de Danza based in Mexico.

Anthony Bocconi, Contemporary 2010, is dancing with the Lar Lubovitch Dance Company.

Katie Bonnell, Ballet Program 2012, has been offered a contract with the Royal Winnipeg Ballet.

Torrence Boone, Contemporary 1995, is now the Managing Director of Agency Business Development for Google and Board member of the Joyce Theater in New York.

Joe Bowie, Teachers Workshop 1985, Jazz Project 1986, was featured in a recent Dance Magazine story profiling dancers who have transitioned to new careers. After more than two decades in the Mark Morris Dance Group, Joe attended the International Culinary Center and has found a new calling as a full-time baker.

Ali Paige Brock, Ballet 2012, is joining Eugene Ballet Company, based in Oregon.

Wally Cardona, Ballet Project 1987, was selected as one of 21 artists to receive a 2012 Doris Duke Performing Artist Award in 2012.

Ryan Casey, Tap 2010, is receiving a "Student Performer" Award and performing at the NYU Gallatin School of Individualized Study graduation ceremony in May. He performed excerpts of his work My Manhattan and taught tap workshops at the 2012 Massachusetts Dance Festival, at Boston University.

, Press/Editorial Intern 2012, has accepted the position of Communications Manager at New York Live Arts.

Addison Ector, Contemporary 2012, has joined Germaul Barnes/Viewsic Expressions Dance, and appeared in its first New York season at the Kumble Theater for the Performing Arts September 21-22.

Briseyda Zarate Fernandez, Flamenco 2008, recently founded Briseyda Zarate Flamenco.

Gentry George (2008 Contemporary) is the newest member to join 4 other Contemporary Program alums dancing in Ailey II: Paige Fraser (2010), Daphne Lee (2011), Anne O'Donnell (2010), and Thomas Varvaro (2010); while Jacqueline Green (2009) and Megan Jakel (2005) dance with the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater company.

Marimba Gold-Watts, Contemporary 2000 & 2001, is teaching Horton 2 this summer at the Ailey Intensive Professional Division.

Young Soon Kim
, Contemporary 2004, and her dance company recently returned from a 3 city tour of Korea, which will be aired on national television by the Korean Broadcasting Service and has been nominated for the 17th Global Korea Award. The company was also recently presented at the White Wave 2012 Summer Stage in NYC.

Emery LeCrone, Ballet 2003, choreographed a premiere commissioned by Juilliard Dance for the 2012-2013 season.

Ralph Lemon, Faculty 1986-87, 1998, has been serving as the curator of an ambitious new performance program at the Museum of Modern Art entitled Some sweet day. Ralph also received a 2012 Doris Duke Performing Artist Award.

Khaleah London, Cultural 2002, performed a solo work at the opening night gala of the 19th New York African Film Festival and for Museum of Arts and Designs Dance Under the Influence series.

Lucy Mallett
, Development Intern 2010, is the Manager of Administration and Finance at Elevator Repair Service, an experimental theatre ensemble in NYC.

Amy McClendon, Contemporary 2005, Ballet 2007, opened Cirque du Soliel's AmaLuna with rave reviews for her role as the Peacock Goddess, April 2012.

Sam Miller, Executive Director 1990-94, Managing Director 1986-89, was honored by Dance/USA in June, receiving an Ernie Award in recognition of his behind-the-scenes work in the dance infrastructure. Sam is now is President of Lower Manhattan Cultural Council.

Millicent Johnnie, 2009 Cultural Traditions, is choreographing for USHER.

Meredith Monk, Student 1959, was named Composer of the Year by Musical America for 2012, and was honored with a Doris Duke Performing Arts Award last spring.

Lisa Niedermeyer, Business Intern 1999, Store Manager 2000 and 2001, Community Programs Faculty 2002 and 2003, Choreography for the Screen participant 2002, Performer at the Pillow with Doug Elkins 2009, Jane Comfort 2011, Virtual Pillow Project Manager 2011-12, is now a Program Director at Fractured Atlas.

Jodee Nimerichter, Marketing/Press Intern 1991, has successfully completed her first season as Director of American Dance Festival. Jodee has been in key positions at ADF for many years, working with Charles Reinhart (Staff 1960-61; Director 1974) who has now retired after more than 43 years at the helm.

Raymond Pinto, Contemporary 2011, is the recipient of a 2012 Princess Grace Award and the featured dancer in the 2012 Fall For Dance promotional materials.

Dylan Santos
, Ballet 2011, recently completed a one year contract with the Orlando Ballet and is now training at The Joffrey Ballet School.

Lissa Smith, Contemporary 2010 and 2012, is the recipient of the 2012 Martha Hill Young Professional Award and was honored at the Martha Hill Dance Fund Gala on November 26 in NYC.

Sadira A.C. Smith, Cultural Traditions 2000, was a faculty member at the 2nd Contact Improvisation Festival in Crete, Greece which was held September 29 -October 6 2012.

Vicky and Jeff Takaminie, Cultural Traditions Faculty 2007, opened the 2012 Inside/Out performance series with traditional Hawaiian dance performed by their company Pua Ali'i `Ilima.

Caleb Teicher, Jazz/Musical Theatre Dance and Tap, 2010, joined the international touring company of West Side Story.

Sharry Traver Underwood, Student 1942-43, 1976, has published a new memoir entitled No Daughter of Mine is Going to be a Dancer. The book contains a wealth of stories about her summers at Jacob's Pillow, and it recently received an enthusiastic review in Dance Magazine.

Andre M. Zachery
, Contemporary Program 2004, Co-Artistic Director of Renegade Performance Group released Bedtime Stories Dance Film, presented in the Coon NY 2012 Festival and NYC 10 Dance Festival at Dixon Place in March 2012; and toured Portugal in June 2012.

Last spring, numerous Alumni of The School at Jacob's Pillow were cast in the musical Heat Wave: the Jack Cole Project, created and directed by Chet Walker. Cast members included Emanuel Abruzzo, Jazz/Musical Theatre Dance 2002, 2005, & 2011, Faculty 2012; Naomi Rusalka-Cernota Jazz/Muscial Theatre Dance 2011; and Andrew Fitch, Jazz/Musical Theatre Dance 1999.
