Jacob’s Pillow seeks a Production Fellow to join the Production Department and work closely with/report directly to the Director of Technical Production. The Production Fellow is expected to be able to function independently on projects under his or her direct supervision as well as assist the Director of Technical Production in the day-to-day operations of the Production Department, maintain a safe and healthy work environment, and coordinate production resources related to Fall/Winter/Spring Pillow Labs, Community events, Pillow Pop-Ups, Site-Specific, and rentals.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Director of Technical Production in the coordination of all production needs for Pillow Labs, Community events, Pillow Pop Ups, and Site specific performances
  • Creating and maintaining all necessary paperwork
  • Assisting with the planning and advancing of Festival 2022
  • Working with visiting artists and companies to provide production support
  • Assisting with maintenance and minor repairs to all Pillow venues and equipment
  • Under the general direction of the Director of Technical Production, assisting with coordination of emergency response for staff and patrons in the event of an emergency or extreme weather
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • Previous experience and/or interest in theatrical management, lighting, sound, and video.
  • Familiarity with and/or interest in theatrical lighting, sound and video equipment.

Skills & Qualities

  • Interest to expand knowledge in Vectorworks and other production programs
  • Strong attention to detail and proactive monitoring of processes with excellent communication skills
  • Strong critical thinking, problem solving, and organizational skills
  • Ability to multi-task, work under a deadline, and work flexible hours
