Joseph Wiggan began tap dancing with the late Paul and Arlene Kennedy of the Kennedy Tap Company in Los Angeles.  He made his Broadway debut in George C. Wolfe’s Shuffle Along, and performed in Riverdance, and the tap dance musical Imagine Tap!. Wiggan toured France, and other European cities in Jerome Savary’s musical comedy À la Recherche de Joséphine.  He works as a member of The Double J’s, a tap duo act with his older sister Josette. Their act toured in two Cirque du Soleil shows spanning four years.  Joseph is winner of the 2005 Princess Grace Award for outstanding artistic achievement, 2004 Presidential Scholar in the Arts and 2003 Music Center Spotlight Award. Wiggan is currently a tap dance/saxophone major at the New School for Jazz and Contemporary Music, and has been a featured guest in concert with Roy Hargrove, Wynton Marsalis, Orlando Poleo, and Marcus Strickland.
