A segment of Pillow Pop-Up Performances includes a Pillow-curated dance series presented in the Dance Zone at the north end of Pittsfield’s Third Thursday cultural street festival. Third Thursday runs May-September from 5-8pm where North Street is closed to vehicular traffic from West Street to Linden Street. All events at Third Thursday are family-friendly, FREE, and open to the public featuring live music, local food, craft vendors, street performers, and plenty more. Third Thursday: Barkha Dance Company
Sep 19 | For Third Thursday, Barkha Dance Company (BDC)'s Artistic Director, Barkha Patel performs a solo of pure Kathak dance accompanied with live music by Mike Lukshis on Tabla, the main percussion instrument of Kathak, and Rohan Prabhudesai on harmonium. BDC creates works to forge links between contemporary themes and traditional Indian Kathak dance.Learn More
