Pillow Pop-Up Performances

The Pillow continues to offer a range of special engagements that take place outside the traditional Festival schedule, often in non-traditional theater settings. Join us for these exciting public events throughout the year!

In Pittsfield, MA

A segment of Pillow Pop-Up Performances includes events in Pittsfield’s Third Thursday cultural street festival. Third Thursday runs May-September from 5-8pm where North Street is closed to vehicular traffic from West Street to Linden Street. All events at Third Thursday are family-friendly, FREE, and open to the public featuring live music, local food, craft vendors, street performers, and plenty more. San Francisco-based choreographer, director, and performance innovator Joanna Haigood explores issues of race and identity in her performance installation, Between me and the other world, a dynamic exploration of scholar and Great Barrington-born civil rights leader W.E.B. Du Bois' seminal work The Souls of Black Folk. Presented at Bard College at Simon's Rock in Great Barrington.
