The Operations and Systems intern assists the Director of Operations and Systems and works with both the Database Administrator and the Associate Systems Administrator to provide technical support to the staff during the festival season.
Technology is a permanent fixture in our daily lives and work. Technology applications in the arts is an often overlooked but emerging area of interest for many arts organizations. As we learn how to create pathways to access and inclusion, technology helps create and sustain this work. Diversity of experience, ability to scale to needs digitally, and the impact on individuals to engage in the arts are all inherent in the work.
The Operations and Systems intern will experience and understand the ever-growing role technology plays in the arts, will develop a skill set to troubleshoot issues and identify process improvements, will become a vital part of the team, and will work cross-departmentally, functioning as connective tissue between OpSys and all organizational needs and resources. Diversity and inclusion of traditionally underrepresented groups is a strong focus and baked into the entire description and process of this position.
