2024 Application deadline: Friday, May 31, 2024 at 11:59pm
Jacob's Pillow Dance Festival is pleased to invite dance-makers from across our region to apply to perform as part of our summer 2024 season. Opportunities will take place both on the Pillow campus and offsite in Berkshire County and include performances for On the Road (August 9) and/or Community Day (August 16).
These performance opportunities for regional dancers and dance-makers offer a window into the broad range of dance being created and performed in our region including by area dance studios/student dance companies, individual choreographers, project-based works, and regional companies. While these performance opportunities are offered free-of-charge to the public, performance stipends will be provided to all groups.
Eligibility: Open to dancers or companies based in the Berkshire region including adjacent counties in NY and CT as well as our MA neighbors in Hampshire, Hampden, and Franklin counties.
We enthusiastically welcome submissions from all dancers and dance-makers at any stage in their career!

For On the Road, a single company/artist will be selected to open a performance featuring a visiting company being presented in Great Barrington, MA at 7pm on August 9.
For Community Day - August 16 at Jacob's Pillow in Becket, MA.
Four to six (4-6) companies will be selected to perform in a showcase on the Henry J. Leir (outdoor) stage beginning at 6pm. Additional works may be invited to participate as pop-up performances on the grounds of The Pillow between 3-6pm. Note: you will be expected to attend same-day tech rehearsals and stay for the duration of the performance. We will not be able to provide rehearsal space outside of your scheduled tech and performance times.

Selection Criteria - Other than performances must be family-friendly and original works, there is no predetermined criteria for selections. Works will be chosen by the selection committee based on a variety of factors - ability to engage an audience, fit for venue/stage, performance, technique, choreography or any combination thereof.
For the 6pm community day showcase, how works will contribute to the overall program as well as a desire to showcase a breadth of works from the community will also be taken into consideration when making final selections.
Please be in touch with Associate Producer Michelle Daly at mdaly@jacobspillow.org if you would like to discuss eligibility, accessibility, concerns, or have any other questions about the application process.
