Alexis Diggs

Curriculum in Motion™ Fellow

Alexis Diggs is a freelance choreographer based in Brooklyn, NY. She is a 2026 IABD Emerging Choreographer in Residence, a Jacob’s Pillow Curriculum in Motion™ Fellow, and Jacob’s Pillow Ann & Weston Hicks Fellow. She is also a 2025 Wasatch Contemporary Dance Company Movers & Makers Fellow, a Brooklyn Ballet Choreographic Incubator choreographer, and a 2024 ChoreoComp choreographer at the Royal Conservatoire, The Hague. Additional honors include being an Eisenhower Dance Detroit NewDANCEfest Emerging Choreographer, Black Midwest Initiative Fellow, and Culture Works Artist Opportunity Grantee.

Alexis’ commissions include work on Brooklyn Ballet, Wasatch Contemporary Dance Company, Dayton Contemporary Dance Company, Dancing Wheels Company, and Sarasota Contemporary Dance Company. She has served on teaching faculty for Gibney’s Center for Dance Education, Wasatch Contemporary Dance Company’s Movers + Makers Intensive, Brooklyn Ballet School and Elevate program, Forza Dance, Dayton Contemporary Dance Company II, International Association of Blacks in Dance’s On the 1 series, Ohio University Summer Dance, Ohio Dance Festival, and others. She will begin her MFA in Dance at Montclair State University in Summer 2026 as part of the Class of 2028.
