Class Descriptions
This gentle, open-level class invites movers of all backgrounds—absolute beginners included—into a practice of full, unapologetic embodiment. Drawing from both traditional and contemporary forms, class begins with a thoughtful warm-up and builds into phrasework, improvisation, and guided movement exercises. Together, we will cultivate buoyant, adaptive bodies—sweating, stretching, and conditioning while refining alignment and movement efficiency. Alongside physical development, the class supports emotional and mental well-being, offering space to explore, release, and reconnect. Whether you are seeking healing, improved posture, or new ways of moving, this practice offers tools for deeper awareness and expression. Rooted in joy, generosity, play, mutual admiration, and virtuosity, the class shares the heart of modern dance.
A rigorous, joyous contemporary class designed for all bodies and movers. Together we will access pockets of possibility in our moving bodies and discover our incredible propensity for creativity and physical expression. This class is an offering for all with an open mind and curious body. Come for good music, good sweat and really feel good moves.
