The Marketing/Digital Media Intern works closely with the Marketing/Digital Media Coordinator and Graphic Design/Website Manager to enhance the Pillow's vibrant digital and print media presence. This internship explores where marketing meets the internet and how to support a strong visual brand.
Design responsibilities include designing print and electronic materials to promote Festival performances and events, maintaining a high-quality and brand-consistent aesthetic in all materials; materials include on-campus posters, as well as ads, graphic materials for email communications, and flyers. Digital media and marketing responsibilities include e-newsletter copywriting, layout, and review routing; research and content creation for the Pillow's social media channels including Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram; updating the Pillow website; and assisting with the organization and management of the Pillow's archival photo database. As part of the Marketing team, the Marketing/Digital Media Intern also assists with marketing research, community outreach and events, and works in the Box Office each week.
Candidates should be well versed in InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop and have experience in all Adobe Design Suite products. Additionally, candidates must have a strong interest in digital marketing thorough email and social media channels. Experience managing professional Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and Instagram accounts, as well as HTML a plus. Applicants must be detail-oriented, organized, effective time managers, and possess marketing instincts. Candidates must submit a digital portfolio of recent design work applicable to this internship with their application.
Candidates may also choose to submit a physical portfolio. Physical portfolios should measure 8.5" x 11" to 11" x 17" and must include a CD consisting of digital versions of all provided work.
