Artistic director, choreographer, master teacher, and celebrated ballerina, Anna-Marie Holmes is an internationally acclaimed dance luminary. She was the first North American invited to perform with the Kirov Ballet in Russia, and also appeared with leading classical companies in Canada, England, Germany, Netherlands, and others. Her stagings of the Russian classic ballets are in the repertoires of leading ballet companies worldwide, and she is a master coach of principals and soloists in companies such as American Ballet Theatre and English National Ballet. Holmes is a recipient of the prestigious Dance Magazine Award and an Emmy Award for her staging of Le Corsaire for American Ballet Theatre's PBS Great Performances. In 2012, Holmes staged Le Corsaire for Julio Bocca in Uruguay and Argentina's Teatro Colon, Swan Lake for The Norwegian Ballet, and Don Quixote for Ballet West. In 2013, Holmes' received great acclaim for her staging of Le Corsaire for English National Ballet. In constant demand as a judge, guest teacher, and choreographer, Holmes will be travelling to Canada Japan (Tokyo and Osaka), and New Zealand in 2015. A guest artist at Jacob's Pillow in 1968 and 1969, this is Holmes' 15th season as Ballet Program Director.
