Music director, conductor, arranger, and ballet class pianist, Ramona Pansegrau serves as the Director of Music for the National Choreograph Intensive, and is the Conductor for the Kansas City Ballet. In 2012, she conducted for the opening of Kansas City's Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts and the world premiere of Tom Sawyer, with a score by Tony Award-winner Maury Yeston. Prior to this, she was principal pianist/solo pianist for Boston Ballet and music director/solo pianist/conductor for Tulsa Ballet. Since 1992, she has also been Music Director and pianist for the USA International Ballet Competition in Jackson, MS. Robert Joffrey said of her, as a ballet class pianist, "The perfect music for every combination." Her ballet arrangements are in the repertories of companies around the world. This will be Pansegrau's 12th year as Ballet Program Music Director.
