Marguerite Donlon has been ballet director and choreographer at the State Theatre of the Saarland/Germany since 2001, creating more than 30 works for her ensemble. Also known as Donlon Dance Company, the ensemble has toured throughout Europe, Asia, and the United States. As guest choreographer, she has staged productions for the Companhia Nacional de Bailando Portugal, Hubbard Street Dance Company, Nederlands Dans Theater II, Stuttgart Ballet, Vienna State Opera Ballet, and in 2013, London's Rambert Dance Company. Irish-born Donlon has been recognized for her choreographic work as a dance award nominee from the Prix Benois for Giselle: Reloaded and the German Theater Award "Der Faust". She is also founder, curator, and Artistic Director of the International Dance Festival "n.o.w. dance saar". Her educational activities include founding the youth project "iMove" and guest teaching at academies and universities.
