Chet Walker and other award-winning Broadway choreographers, directors, composers/arrangers, and musicians work collaboratively to create original numbers on dancers,
with the same fast-pace and rigor required to audition and mount Broadway productions.

Dancers present excerpts of the works for the public August 2, 9, and 16 as part of the free outdoor performance series. Working as an ensemble, dancers perform the complete works, with a live band and guest program alumni, on August 17 in the historic Ted Shawn Theatre; proceeds benefit The School at Jacob's Pillow.

Daily technique classes rotate among ballet, jazz, musical theatre dance, and tap. Dancers rehearse afternoons and evenings with choreographers and musicians. Vocal training, audition coaching, and career-building discussions are also part of the curriculum. Attending Festival performances, public talks, exhibits, master classes, and studying in the Archives are integral to this immersion experience in dance.

For 12 male and 12 female musical theatre dancers at an advanced pre-professional and professional level with singing and acting experience, age 16 and up. Click here for Chet Walker's bio. For audition and application details, click here.
