Shaun McKenna is an award-winning English screenwriter, playwright and lyricist. McKenna is considered prolific and versatile, known for both original dramas and adaptations. His output ranges from screenplays to prime-time British TV, from large-scale arena spectaculars to straight plays, and  from West End musicals to BBC radio and documentaries. His shows have received a Dora award in Toronto, and a Royal Television Society award and Olivier award nomination in the UK. In collaboration with Program Director Chet Walker, McKenna has created Feelin’ in the Mood, The Last Scrapbook, and Wordsmith, along with additional projects still in development, such as Boy on the Roof. McKenna’s forthcoming musicals include Are You as Nervous as I Am, and W.O.W.. His screenwriting work includes Like Father like Son, The Crooked Man, and three series of Heartbeat. McKenna’s extensive BBC credits include The Forsytes, Home Front, Me and Little Boots, The Complete Smiley, and the forthcoming 11 hour epic, China Towns.
