Peter Brandenhoff is a faculty member at The Ailey School, where he teaches in the Professional, Junior, and Open divisions. He is also in charge of the Peridance Core Pre-Professional program. A Copenhagen native, he began his dance career at the Royal Danish Ballet. Upon graduating, he went on to dance with Boston Ballet, Hamburg Ballet, and San Francisco Ballet as a soloist. In 2008, he was appointed Ballet Master at Ballet San Jose School where he built a successful boys’ program. Taking a hiatus from teaching in 2009, he finished his Bachelor’s degree from the LEAP program at St. Mary’s College in Moraga and completed a fellowship in administration at Cal Performances, Berkeley before moving to New York in 2011. He has also contributed articles on technique, music, and mime for Dance Magazine, Dance Spirit, and Dance Studio Life.
