Master Class with Akram Khan Company
February 19, 2019 | 6-8pm

In collaboration with The ’62 Center for Theatre and Dance at Williams College

Beginning with a warm-up developed through Khan’s movement vocabulary, participants will explore their own creativity through exercises and tasks focusing on rhythm, speed, cycles, and silence.

Led by rehearsal director Nicola Monaco, the workshop will develop into learning choreographic phrases from Khan’s solo piece, XENOS. Following class, Khan discusses his creative process.

Please wear comfortable clothing to move in. Participants will be barefoot or in socks for this class.
For intermediate/advanced dancers, ages 16+. All participants require a liability waiver. Participants younger than 18 require a parent/guardian signature. The liability waiver can be accessed in the registration form.
