Schedule of 2025 Morning Classes
Classes will be held from June 24 through August 22 on Tuesdays through Fridays from 9-10am.
Tuesdays — Ballet
with Isadora Wolfe
Join dance artist Isadora Wolfe to explore a variety of ballet techniques. Beginning at the barre, we will find our alignment and work on connecting our mind and body through exercises working on coordination, strength, and balance. Part two of class takes us away from the barre to center, dancing with musicality and joy, challenging the body as well as celebrating movement.
Wednesdays — Modern/Contemporary
with Sayer Mansfield and Ryoko Kudo
A rigorous, joyous contemporary class designed for all bodies and movers. Together we will access pockets of possibility in our moving bodies and discover our incredible propensity for creativity and physical expression. This class is an offering for all with an open mind and curious body. Come for good music, good sweat, and really feel-good moves.
Thursdays — West African Dance & Spiritual Well-Being
with Truth Hunter, Tara Murphy, and Noel Staples-Freeman
For millennia, dance and drumming in Africa have brought people together to create peace and happiness. In an affirming and community-centered atmosphere, this class will use dance to promote health, healing, and well-being. Together we will explore traditional and contemporary West African and African diaspora dance forms while focusing on cultivating body awareness and strength. This dance will get your blood pumping and your heart soaring….feel the rhythms and shake what you got! The class emphasizes community, self-expression, and the joy of movement.
Fridays — Zumba® or The Quilombo Experience
with Luana Dias David
Zumba®: Get ready to dance, sweat, and smile! Zumba® with Luana is a high-energy, Latin-inspired dance fitness class designed for everyone. No dance experience needed. With infectious rhythms from Salsa, Samba, Reggaetón, and more, this class transforms exercise into a joyful celebration of movement and community. Luana brings her vibrant Brazilian roots and over 20 years of global experience teaching and training, creating a fun, supportive, and inclusive space where you can express yourself, get fit, and feel empowered.
The Quilombo Experience (July 25 & August 15 only): The Quilombo Experience is a dynamic community workshop led by Luana Dias David and live drumming artists, designed to connect participants with the rich cultural traditions of Afro-Brazilian heritage. Through dance, rhythm, storytelling, and movement, this interactive experience invites people of all backgrounds to explore the legacy of the Quilombos: resilient communities founded by Africans who resisted enslavement in Brazil. Participants will learn foundational elements of the music and dances including movements influenced by Capoeira, while also engaging in reflection on ancestry, identity, and collective empowerment.
