Policies

Fees

The box office policies for the 2024 Festival season include specific fees associated with ticket purchases. There is a standard $2 transaction fee applied per order for any showing, event, or party within the Festival season. There are additional venue-specific processing fees for certain showings:

For showings in the Ted Shawn Theatre, there is an additional $4.50 processing fee per ticket.

For showings on the Leir Stage, there is an additional $2.50 processing fee per ticket.

The “Choose What You Pay” option allows for purchases starting at a minimum of $5, with a suggested price of $25. It’s important to note that the prices mentioned do not include supplementary fees associated with ticket orders, such as a $2 transaction fee and a $2.50 per ticket processing fee.

In an effort to promote financial inclusivity, fees may be waived at the box office on a case-by-case basis, subject to manager approval.

In addition to covering administrative expenses, a portion of the proceeds from these ticket fees goes towards supporting The Pillow’s National Historic Landmark grounds and buildings. By attending events and purchasing tickets, patrons contribute to the preservation and maintenance of this historic site, ensuring its continued availability for future generations to enjoy. This dual purpose of ticket fees serves not only to facilitate the smooth operation of the Festival season but also to contribute to the sustainability and stewardship of The Pillow’s cultural and architectural heritage.

Refunds

Jacob’s Pillow does not provide refunds. Programs, casting, and pricing are subject to change without notice. If you are unable to attend, please consider converting your Festival tickets into a tax-deductible donation. Ticket donations are appreciated and support the non-profit programs of Jacob’s Pillow. Tax-deductible receipts are issued. Ticket re-sale on Jacob’s Pillow grounds is strictly prohibited.

Exchanges

Exchanges are available based only on availability. There is a $5 per order exchange fee prior to a performance. Package holders to 6+ performances and Jacob’s Pillow Members receive free exchanges up to 48 hours prior to a show. Tickets may be exchanged between venues for the value of the higher priced ticket; differences in ticket prices cannot be refunded. We cannot guarantee comparable seating.

Late Seating

Late seating is contingent upon the discretion of the House Manager and is subject to the agreement with the artist company. Performances commence punctually at their designated times. It is imperative to thoroughly review ticket details, particularly curtain times. Seat allocations cannot be assured beyond the commencement of the performance.

Outdoor Show Cancellation

Jacob’s Pillow occasionally must issue a day-of cancellation of an outdoor performance due to inclement weather, such as current or impending rain, high heat, or air quality concerns. In the event of inclement weather on the date of an outdoor performance, all ticket holders who have purchased a Rain or Shine ticket will be accommodated indoors in an alternate venue with limited capacity at Jacob’s Pillow, at the scheduled showtime. A limited number of Rain or Shine tickets are available for each performance, and may sell out sooner than other ticket types.

All other ticket types are considered “Shine Only” and in case of inclement weather will have their funds moved on-account. These funds can then be used to purchase a future ticket, donate the ticket back to Jacob’s Pillow as a tax deductible donation, or request a refund. On-account funds will expire December 31, 2024 and will be converted to a tax deductible donation unless otherwise specified.

Programming Updates

All programming, pricing, and casting is subject to change.
