Internships at the Pillow

"The Pillow's relaxed but professional atmosphere is a dream come true. I came looking for a job but found a close-knit community of caring and devoted people intent on making magic happen."
- Ian Crowther, Marketing Intern

Jacob's Pillow internships are composed of real work projects and
responsibilities that develop professional skills. Interns function as integral members of department teams and are charged with upholding the organization's work standards, ethics and policies.
The Fall/Winter/Spring (non-Festival) internships are tailored to the specific intern's needs and interests in terms of hours, duration and responsibilities. By joining Jacob's Pillow during the off-season, you will assist in the work of a world-renowned arts organization supporting presentation, creation, education, preservation and audience engagement.

The Summer (Festival) internships are part of a structured program for more than 30 interns, with each internship specific to department area work. By joining Jacob's Pillow during the summer, you will assist in the execution of the Festival and will have the opportunity to take part in all its offerings.

In both cases, you will receive invaluable training towards your professional career in arts administration or performance production. Recent internship alumni have gone on to find employment at such prestigious organizations as The Lincoln Center, the Brookings Institution, Standard & Poor's, the Kennedy Center, Mark Morris Dance Group, Dance Magazine, National Public Radio, The Washington Post and Jacob's Pillow.
