Blake's Barn

"I celebrate the living part of this barn, which I know is going to flower, grow, inspire, and maybe even amuse."
- Marge Champion, on the occasion of the Archives opening in 1996

This 18th century barn was moved to the Pillow in 1992 from nearby
Stockbridge, Massachusetts as a gift from famed dancer Marge Champion, in memory of her son, Blake.

In addition to housing the Box Office, Blake's Barn hosts free PillowTalks every Wednesday and Saturday afternoons on the Sommerspace deck. The barn also houses new exhibits each season, the Pillow's extensive Archives, which include printed materials, films, costumes, and books, as well as the viewing kiosk--Pillow Interactive--which shows video clips of 77 years of Pillow history.
