Jacob’s Pillow welcomed the public into the Perles Family Studio in August 2017. The 7,373 square foot, state-of-the-art studio is a physical expression of the Pillow’s deep commitment to The School at Jacob’s Pillow and its expanded year-round programming as outlined in Vision ’22.

Since Festival 2018, The School’s prestigious professional advancement and development programs have been at home in the space while also enabling outdoor performances on the Henry J. Leir Stage to be held indoors when inclement weather arises. Throughout the fall, winter, and spring months, the studio multifunctions as a rehearsal, instructional, convening, and special event space for creative development, engagement, and educational programming, including the Pillow Lab residencies available to choreographers.
