Helen Pickett has choreographed internationally for Boston Ballet, Semperoper/Dresden Ballet, Vienna State Opera, Atlanta Ballet, Royal Ballet of Flanders, Dance Theatre of Harlem, Aspen Santa Fe Ballet, Ballet West, Smuin Ballet, Washington Ballet, Scottish Ballet, and others. Through 2015, she serves as Resident Choreographer for Atlanta Ballet. Pickett performed under Artistic Director William Forsythe with Ballet Frankfurt from 1987-1998, and as an actress, appeared with The Wooster Group in House/Lights and North Atlantic from 1998-2005. She has collaborated with installation video artists and filmmakers including Toni Dove, Laurie Simmons, and Eve Sussman. A founding member of Eve Sussman's Rufus Corporation, Pickett acted in 89 Seconds at Alcázar and The Rape of the Sabine Women. Pickett holds a Master of Fine Arts from Hollins University.
