Bruce Wells is an internationally known choreographer, who began his dance career with the New York City Ballet under the direction of George Balanchine. His ballets appear in the repertoire of Ballet Omaha, Carolina Ballet, Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre, Atlanta Ballet, Australian Ballet, Boston Ballet, Connecticut Ballet, Dance Theatre of Harlem, Grand Rapids Ballet, Kansas City Ballet, Pacific Northwest Ballet, among others. Wells has taught on the faculties of Boston Ballet, and Pacific Northwest Ballet. In 1988, he was a faculty member of The School at Jacob’s Pillow for the Teachers Workshop, and in 1989 for International Ballet Project. His works have also appeared on the stages of Jacob’s Pillow Dance.
