Michael Jagger is currently a full-time professional Swing dancer whose performance credits include being a featured dancer with the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra, led by Wynton Marsalis. He has also appeared at the Kennedy Center in Washington D.C., and the Rose Theater in New York City. Jagger was a principal dancer with his partner, Evita Arce, starring in the Broadway musical Swing! and its regional productions in the U.S. and Japan. Jagger was the co-founder and co-artistic director of Syncopated City Dance Company, a New York City based group that used Charleston, Lindy Hop, and vernacular jazz dance forms from the 1920’s—1950’s to create and showcase works for the stage and film. The company was presented in the United States and overseas. Michael Jagger performed at Jacob’s Pillow in 2012 and 2013 as part of the Inside/Out Performance series.
