Summer Festival Intern Program Archives/Audience Engagement
Two Archives/Audience Engagement Interns work alongside the Director of Preservation and Associate Archivist to provide public access to the Pillow’s extensive collection of videos, photographs, books, and other historical materials.
In collaboration with The ’62 Center for Theatre and Dance, Jacob’s Pillow presents XENOS by Akram Khan, one of the most celebrated and respected dance artists today. Akram draws on the archives of the 20th century, and gives voice to the shell-shocked dream of a colonial soldier in the First World War.
Join us in September-May to assist with the Pillow’s year-round programming and preparations for our acclaimed international dance festival. Fall/Winter/Spring internships introduce the work it takes to program and market a successful Festival, develop and execute strategic fundraising campaigns, manage donor relationships, and more.
Programs of The School The School Experience
Dancers of The School spend six days a week immersed in high-level technique classes and intense rehearsals of classic and original works. They also perform for Festival audiences as part of the Pillow’s Inside/Out Series, and make lasting connections with Festival artists and professional choreographers.
Building Community Through Dance College Partnership Program
The Jacob’s Pillow Dance College Partnership Program exists regionally, nationally, and internationally to elevate dance as a means of research, discourse, and artistic expression for faculty, artists, scholars, and students working within higher education.
